My love of quirky birds.

I have always loved birds, especially cute and quirky ones. Future hubs and I even got matching tattoos when we first started dating of birds! I love all kinds, owls, sparrows, crows etc... So when I came across Ann Woods imagine how excited I was! Then I realized how hard they are to get, since she only makes a few of year. She custom makes them for you and the material are mostly made from vintage materials and lace. Love Love Love them! I contacted her today with my inquiry so lets pray that she gets back to me!!
Save the Dates!
The guy and I knew we wanted to use magnets as the save the dates because they are so practical and cute. Through my endless search I found the perfect one, with the perfect color! They have the vintage feel that I love and a calender that he thought was very important!
Here's the sample...
I had one rule I had to follow when picking these out. Nothing that involved our picture! I saw some really cute ones that did, and he flat out refused... in his exact words "You can't give them everything all at once, they have to come and see us." Of course I laughed and agreed.
The Bridal Party!
Choosing my bridesmaid was the easiest part of the wedding, where as choosing the dress was a nightmare! I have my two sisters, my future sister in law and my best friend walking down the isle with me. Everyone of them are different and unique in their own ways that I wanted dresses that reflects all of them, but at the same time I wanted people to be able to look at them and know they were apart of the wedding. All of my ladies are different heights, shapes, and sizes, even a nine month pregnant one! So finding something flattering, beautiful, affordable, and something that they can re wear was everything I was factoring in on my search.
Picking a dress would require me to pick a color- which made my indecisive self cringe! My first choice of course was black because that's my favorite color to wear, but I knew it wasn't the best choice for a spring/summer time wedding. So I chose the next best thing, chocolate brown! I love chocolate browns mixed with pinks and lilacs and teals. .
After weeks of searching for a dress that would fit and flatter everyone I came across Twobirds Bridesmaids. It was a dream come true. It's one dress that can be easily tied and transformed into over 15 different styles. It's a one size fits all and also comes in a plus size, and two different lengths. AND its designed to flatter very pregnant women! The material is beautiful and lush, when i held the sample dress I wanted to use it as a blanket, it felt so good! Best of all, you can re wear this dress over and over with its endless possibilities to wrap it. The one downside of the dress is the price, they are more then I wanted but, we agreed it was worth it for the post-wedding versatility.

Flowers!
I found the most beautiful bouquet that works perfectly with my color scheme!
Instead of the white flowers, I'm thinking of ivory to match my dress!

My favorite part of it is the beautiful blue succulents that are in it. They remind me of when I was a child and planting them in my front yard (the green ones)..

Paper Lanterns
I've always loved the idea of these and I'm excited to have finally started to collect them. I found them on Paper Lantern Store. They have such good prices and nice color selection. I decided to get two different shades of pink to match the chocolate brown.
Decor!
Let me remind you how indecisive I am. I probably had a new idea everyday. There are so many beautiful things that I would love to incorporate into my wedding, but I came to the realization that I will just have to throw other parties down the road to allow all my inspiration and ideas run wild.
For awhile I was pretty much obsessed with the vintage tea tins as centerpieces. Good old Martha Stewart blew me away with idea.
Some people loved it, and others reminded me that it was a night wedding and I should try to dress it up a little more. I valued both opinions, but in the end I ordered a few, and had them as my Thanksgiving centerpieces, and maybe someone will incorporate them into my shower!
My love for vintage kicks up every time I think of centerpiece so I definitely want to have that feel to them.. here's an idea (but with my color flowers)...
my citation was lost, my apologies.
but of course I would need peonies not roses.

Getting Started...
Getting things started was the hardest task for me. Setting a month, let a lone a date was rough. Finding the perfect venue that fit my ever so changing theme was a nightmare. Figuring out budget was enough to make me want to run away and get eloped. But endless days and nights roaming the Internet on countless blogs and flipping through wedding magazine time and time again has provided me with such a good insight to whats me, including what I like and what I don't like.
Location Location Location. To me, was the most important decision we had to make. I never pictured myself as being the girl who wanted an outside wedding, but I realized every inspiration board I bookmarked was outside, white tent, and vintage inspired.

I knew I didn't want it to be at your typical wedding hall, where there are more then one wedding going on at once. I also wasn't sure if I wanted to have a wedding completely outside, where we would be worried about the weather the whole time. I think I found the most perfect place for us. It fits our budget, and its the complete compromise between outside and inside.
I randomly came across the Lippincott Manor one day and I knew I had to give this place a chance. It was the first one that I wanted to visit and my only. I went there and completely feel for everything they had to offer. Trish, the owner was the sweetest lady and she was really helpful. I booked it that weekend.

6 Months to Go!
Here we go... I'm getting married in less then 6 months, so the rush is on to plan the most beautiful wedding we can. I know it's taken awhile, but I finally have a complete vision and I'm ready to start tying things together. Our wedding is the last day of spring, June 20th, 2009 so the theme will reflect the a garden/spring theme. I love all things vintage and hand made, and anything that reflects our personal style. I love love love all things wedding and most of all my future hub!
